Little Flower, India
Little Flower is a remarkable centre established in Sunderpur, North Bihar (India). It dedicates wholehearted and free services to people personally challenged by leprosy, as well as to their dependants. Sharing its history provides important testimonies on the long-lasting consequences of prejudice, discrimination and injustice. But at the same time, it also presents inspiring images of dignity and strength and represents a powerful resource to change the social image of leprosy. Little Flower is winning on several fronts: medical treatment and economic and social rehabilitation and empowerment; all of which are keys to eliminating Hansen's disease.
